Masalodeh Ubi

Dah lama nak kongsi , tapi tak berkesempatan nak blogging......

Hari tu masa bertandang ke rumah teman, dia buat benda ni....

me: apa nama ni?

she: entah

both: thought of the same name while texting...hahaha

Note:
- Resepi ni ada sikit sikit macam nak buat jemput/cucoq udang
cuma yang membezakan, kita letak ubi parut instead of tepung gandum.

- maaf kalau memang ada nama khusus untuk ini, kawan makcik tak tau nama

Something different, simple, tak ada sukatan khusus, sedap & worth trying.

Masalodeh ubi

Ubi kayu parut
udang kering , mesin halus
Bawang besar, hiris nipis
cili hijau, hiris
cili merah, hiris
serbuk kunyit (sekadar nak kuningkan)
garam secukup rasa.
sedikit gula jika suka

Minyak untuk "deep frying"

Gaul sebati semua bahan di atas, bentuk sesuka hati

Kawan makcik bulat & leperkan, nampak macam masalodeh......

Jadi makcik buat buat shape lain sikit.......

Empatsegi...dah nampak macam tauhu (taukua) lah pulak!

Sedap di makan panas bersama teh 'o' - jemputlah

Confused...

Identity..................

Yesterday my son sent our rabbit Chot aka Pak Mansur for grooming.

Dulu buat sendiri tapi nak keringkan bulu jadi masalah besar, he doesn't stay still macam kucing, it ended up dengan bulu terutama bahagian bawah jadi clumpy.

Tapi yesterday, lepas pick up, my son tergelak besar sebab................

Pak Mansur dah jadi NYONYA MANSUR!

Look at the ribbon between telinga tu!

Hai la Mr Moon, you donno Chot is male aaa?

Anyway, pagi tadi, nampak ribbon dah terkeluar....gamaknya Chot terperasan masa dok mengeliat sebelum tidur semalam kot.....

This has nothing to do with the above story. Masa BW, i bumped into this catchy phrase that i feel worth keeping/sharing.

Ada lagi sebenarnya...maybe i kena start putting phrases, motivational or funny that i jumpa while BW. You are, my dear, special friends out there, the first people i meet every morning(other than my love lah).
Thank You for making everyday an interesting day.

Hexagon Patchwork Bag

The unfinished handle bit...

Remember last week when those guys laughed at me for pushing that 'trolley bag'?

Hmmm keesokan harinya makcik pergi jugak, tapi tak bawak dah bag tu......

Bawak bag gedebak ni pulak

Ya, ada sikit magic....a bag inside a bag.....
After more than 40 hours over a 3 months period, i am happy to 'show-off' the result of my labour.....

A new hand-made handbag,
one side with hexagon patch + clasp purse

The sunny side of square patchwork and side clasp,
rustic, handy, spacious, practical

I just name it Hexagon Patchwork Bag. More than 3/4 of this bag was hand sewn.

Makcik pun senyum sukahati

I have reason to SMILE today....

Ada ke patut........

Saja nak bercerita.............

Tadi makcik & kawan makcik pergilah ke tempat 'hobbyist' (ala ala work/lepak port).
Asalnya nak teman saja kawan makcik tu...sekali dengan makcik sekali tersangkut...terus buat satu projek.....

My shoulder is still sore, tapi disebabkan project makcik dah terlalu lama tertunda and dok collect habuk kat rumah ni, makcik pun tekad nak habiskan.....

Projek yang dah hampir nak 'reput' dalam simpanan

Kelmarin (semalam) isi barang2 dalam bag tapi ' aduh, bahu ku sakitttt.....' jadi hari ni makcik letaklah dalam bag lain pulak.

Segan jugak tapi pakcik kata, "......what choice do you have?..." okay i simpan itu segan dalam poketlah....

All went well until balik time (ie when we're done with our project)

Pakcik wants food, so i went to buy food for him.

Mula tak perasan lagi sebab i was busy with the bag, the payment, the food, the sore shoulder....

Lepas tu baru perasannnn.....ehhhh budak budak tu dok perli akuuu......

cisssss, depa dok nyanyi lagu 'exit' akademi fantasia....sudah semestinya kat makcik lah tu....CISSSSSS

Masa tu.....'adehhhhh, panasnya muka ku.....'

Hanya kerana aku bawak bag ni....

Huwaaaaaaaa....tak patut......

(sudahnya balik rumah, baru perasan....pay for 3 sets of lunch but bawak balik cuma 2 sets, dah tertinggai satu....)

Soft Honey Bun

Selembut dan sesedap nama...

Yes, first time puas hati dengan hasil roti.
Makcik dah buat banyak kali tapi bila hasil tak memuaskan, i always blame everything else but myself.......

......tak dak bread maker lah
......oven dah 'tua' lah
......proofing tak cukup lah
......yeast dah 'mati' lah
......and all other 'lah' that you can think of!

:)) biasalah tu kan......

Kali ni buat jadi pulak.....benda semua sama, resepi je lain sikit.

Jom kita tengok resepi......boleh lah anda cuba and kongsikan hasilnya.....

Kenyataan ni hanyalah untuk orang2 yg tak berapa terer buat macam makcik saja tau....yang dah sifu tu, dengar katanya, sambil tidor pun roti dia orang naik elok.

(Asalnya nak link-kan saja blog jintanmanis ni untuk sapa2 nak dapatkan resepi, tapi tak dapat nak buka pulak rumah dia, tak tau kenapa.
Jadi, makcik letaklah resepinya disini)

Soft Honey Bun

Source: Ros @ jintanmanis.com

250 gm breadflour
1 1/2 tsp dried yeast
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp milk powder
2 Tbsp honey
150 ml fresh milk / warm water
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp water roux (*)

Method:

- Place flour, milk powder and yeast in a bowl/mixer.
- Turn on mixer and add milk/water slowly
- Add butter and pour in honey.
- Knead for 5 minutes or until it forms a dough and doesn't stick the side of mixing bowl
- Add in salt and knead until dough is smooth
- Proof dough ( i place in the same mixing bowl), covered for about 40-60 minutes until it doubles.
- Punch the dough (to remove air), divide into 9 equal parts(or however you like), place on baking tray/pan.
- Proof for another 40 minutes.
- Glace top with egg (or egg & milk or egg, milk, honey)
- Bake at 170-180 deg C for ~ 20 minutes or until brown.
- Remove from oven and glace top with butter

* How to make water roux (I got this from mamafami, another Roti-Sifu)

25 gm flour
125 ml water.
- mix water and flour and stir over slow fire until it becomes paste.
- Cool before use.
- Extra/unused water roux can be kept in fridge up to 2 days.
