Ramadhan 7..

Then teringat pulak nak buat......dah buat....sesuai simpan untuk rujukan.

Agar Agar Gula Merah
(sumber: google)

10gm serbuk agar agar
1 liter (4 cawan) air
150 gm gula merah/gula melaka
1/4 cawan gula pasir
250ml santan pekat (boleh juga santan pekat dicampur air tapi mesti total 250ml)
1 biji telur ayam
sedikit garam & daun pandan

1. Masak gula merah & gula pasir bersama 1 cawan air, masukkan daun pandan.
2. Tapis dan jadikan jumlah air gula 2 cawan. Ketepikan
3. Campur telur dengan santan, pukul sekadar nak pecahkan telur dan masukkan secubit garam.
4. Masak serbuk agar2 bersama 2 cawan air hingga mendidih.
5. Masukan air gula. (Note: McK cuma letak 3/4 dari air gula tu, rasa kemanisannya)
6. Masukkan santan/telur, perlahankan api dan kacau selalu.
7. Kalau kurang manis tambah lah baki air gula tadi, kalau dah cukup, tambah air sebanyak air gula
    yang tinggal tu (paham?).
8. Biar mendidih, tapi kacau selalu supaya tak meruap.
9. Bila mendidih, kita akan nampak agar2 tu berbintik2 (curdle). Tutup api
10. Tuang dalam bekas yang sesuai.

Gambar ni ja ada...
bila dah berbuka..ngap! terus lupa nak snap gambar

Durian Crepes - The Traffic Stopper.......

Ombak Durian Crepes melanda sekarang.....mengalahkan ombak rindu.....

Lebih sebulan lalu, makcik adalah ber'viber' ngan mamafami & she asked if like durian crepe...and dia kata durian flesh+ whipped cream.
Mak aih, lemak bercreamnyaaaa......

Then dalam chatgroupkawanskolah makcik pulak timbulkan pasal ni....

Rasa hati nak cuba...and masa melawat rumah Paty, memang nampak banyak resepi2 menarik yg makcik dah bookmarked...and this is one of them.

STOP if you like durian

LOOK if you are curious

GO if you don't fancy durian

Durian Crepes/Pancake/Parcel

sumber: Paty's kitchen

A:

80 g flour
20 g corn flour
20 g glutinous flour
30 g melted butter
40 g sugar (i only use 30 g)
300 g evaporated milk
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt

B:
Durian flesh

C:
Whipped cream

Mix A until well combined.

I mix all in a blender

Heat pan, grease with oil or butter. Pour enough batter into pan and do like you would the 'kuih ketayap'.

Put filling when pancake is cool

Spread a little whipped cream at center of pancake.
Spoon durian flesh on the whipped cream
Spread another layer of cream if you like.
Fold nicely.

Pls go to paty's blog for a detailed 'how-to'

Note: If you fold into square parcel, jadilah dia crepes
If you gulung lepas letak inti, jadilah dia 'ketayap durian'...pilihan di tangan anda.

Apa apa pun I prefer durian on its own.......fuhhhhh dok tunggu pakcik balik dari outstation niiii...dia kata beli durian (lagi!!!!) kat makcik....ohhh bahagiaaaa

Lihatlah dgn tak malunya, makcik ni santap durian tepi jalan....aduhhh

Simple as A B C...........

Bancuh, Tuang, Ikat........ya itulah tagline kita hari ini ya puan puan dan tuan tuan.

Pernah dengar Aiskrim Malaysia? Bukan aiskrim 1 Malaysia tau sebab aiskrim ni dah ujud sejak makcik dok lari lari keliling kampung dengan 'seluar katok' lagi tau.

(Seluar katok = seluar dalam.)

Nak buat dia senang;

( The so-called Aiskrim Malaysia is actually frozen sorbet, achieved by placing sorbet of any flavour in long, thin plastic & kept frozen)

Langkah 1: Bancuh
(flavour of your choice)

Langkah 2: isikan dalam plastik panjang
(fill up in long, thin plastic)

Langkah 3: ikat
 (tie/secure the open end )

Langkah 4: Letak di tempat PALING sejuk di rumah anda
(freeze it!)

Nikmatilah, ...sarsi, sirap, bandung, milo..
(ENJOY!)

Leng Chee Kang

Leng Chee Kang

Just want to share what i did today...other than the normal cooking lah.

My version of Leng Chee Kang is quite simple. All i do is visit a chinese herbal/drug store & tell him/her you want to buy stuff for leng chee kang. He can suggest or you can tell what you want.

basic items

Refer photo above, clockwise from top left:
1. Lotus seed, dried longan, almond-like nuts & lo-han-ko (the dark greenish round fruit;wash and just crack the skin a little bit)
2. White fungus, soak in water for about 1 hour.
3. Sugared winter melon (halwa/gula kundur)
4. Honey comb sugar (or rock sugar)- add last before serving

Boil everything except honey comb sugar. I use my rice cooker, set to 2 hours , close lid and leave to boil.

Sugared winter melon actually provides sweetness to the leng chee kang; i don't add sugar into mine, however you can add honeycomb sugar if you like- it dissolves in the hot leng chee kang.

Enjoy

Puding Cendol

Puding Cendol

Dah lama juga tak dak n3 makan ni ye. Okay che puan & che tuan, i tried this one yesterday.

It was good, but as usual, i always do mine with less sugar( i only use 2/3 of the sugar measurement & i also did not include the egg yolk), itu pun masih terasa manisnya.

Friday morning....

16th April: Happy Birthday  Yati. One of 'ahli mesyuarat tingkap'(he he housewife lah tu); we will meet almost everyday for breakfast & other activities, if situation permits. Now that she's moved to another state, the chances for morning coffee is almost nil.
Hope that our other plan (nak petik strawberries with gang?) would materialized soon.

And this morning, mr abang suddenly wants mango pulut as he bought mango yesterday on his way back from KL. just to share...nothing special about it as it's just steam glutinous rice, coconut milk & mango...

......and i'm getting ready to go to my sewing class.....see you....

Red and White jelly

Red and White Jelly.
This is simply agar2 santan. I'm sure many know how to make this.
The only difference is I set about 1-1 1/2 cups of  the white (agar2 with santan{coconut milk}) separately. Once set, cube them and put into the red ones.
I should have taken the picture from a better angle, sorry for the poor presentation.
