Vietnamese Spring Roll -Cuộn mùa xuân Việt

Entah betul entah tidak.......makcik tanya mr gugel tadi.....

Tak biasa pi vietnam, jadi tak tau lah kat sana ada ka benda ni.....

Alahhhh macam mee bandung, ayaq bandung la.....

Pi Bandung, depa pun tak tau benda tu wujud....

Makcik nampak Rice paper ni kat satu kedai jual bahan2 kek...out of curiosity, makcik beli lepas dapat sikit penjelasan dari tokey kedai tu...

Ni lah rupa bungkusan rice paper tu.....

rupanya...macam "clear plastic sheet"

Ada 2 size, yang ni besar punya.....takut tak pandai nak balut kalau guna yang kecik

Makcik google utk filling....tapi makcik guna apa2 yang ada.....

Crab stick, hiris memanjang atau biar camtu je
Udang, buang kulit, rebus
Daun bawang, kerat ~3"
Daun pudina
Daun selasih
Daun ketumbar
Timun, kerat ~ 3" and hiris panjang (julienne)
Carrot, kerat ~ 3" and hiris halus memanjang

Bihun, celur (makcik tak letak)

Assemble;

Nak balut dia agak susah tak lah payah mana pun kalau kita buat kali pertama. Rice paper tu cepat juga lembik bila kena air...

- Sediakan semua bahan2 yg nak letak dalam spring roll berdekatan 'workstation'
- Sediakan satu bekas (besen) air, cukup untuk celup rice paper.
- Kitchen towel lembap, untuk lapik rice paper.
- Dah ready semua tu? Ayuh.
- Celupkan satu keping rice paper dalam air, bukan rendam ya.
- Letakkan rice paper yg dah dicelup tadi atas towel lembap tu.
- Cepat2 letakkan filling, macam popia.
- Lipat kedua2 tepi, gulung.

- Siap. Makcik cicah sos cili thai saja hari tu.

Nak cerita panjang2 tak pandai lah ai....experiment sendirilah ya....

Kalut sgt...lupa letak segala daun2

Colourful & tasty spring roll

  14. Hello Makcik, I suka ini Vietnamese spring roll. My first wife always beli tu packets and buat senderi.
Also where we live across the road ada satu Vietnamese Pho noodle restaurant, one of the best in town too.
Owner opened that restaurant 10 years ago...he was driving a Honda Accord, few years later switched to a Lexus, today a Mercedes. Thats how good his business is.
There is a big population of Vietnamese people here, many came as refugees long ago, and thus lots of Vietnamese stores here.
Have you tried the Vietnamese Pho beef noodles? Boleh lupa nama mak, very delicious.

This spring roll like yours sama juga poh pia....and good for bila ada jemput kawan2 datang rumah.
Yours here in the pictures looks really nice....I think lima pieces for me, boleh juga, ha ha ha.
Have a nice day, Makcik...jaga traffic and don't talk on h/phone bila cycling.
    Lee.

    1. TQ Lee.

Nasib baik your first wife buat....& make sure yr 2nd and 3rd wife also same person, else, that spring roll will be laced with racun tikus, habes cherita :)))

I have tried that beef noodles and yes, its palatable.
Over here many of them too...was told, with many of them around, population of dogs and cats reduced...you know what i mean hahaha

      Have a great day Lee
