I managed to grab some of these books & magazines recently. Love all of it. Should have taken more...but too engrossed in conversation at that time.

Having them give you sense of satisfaction, reading them give you pleasure and doing/practicing the contents are my passion.

Time to pile up your kilos.....

is when you go on a holiday.....

Holiday for me is just getting out of the house, meaning no laundry, cooking, serving or cleaning the house.
Kat mana tak kisah.
I was on the trip KL - S'pore - KL last week, kira holiday lah tu kan?

And bila dah on holiday tu, all you do is walk, talk, sit, sleep and eat. Makan di hidang tau, tak payah buat sendiri...tu yang bahagia (walau pun cuma roti :-D ).

Dan sebab dok buat kerja makan tidur tu jugaklah, segalanya tentang badan mengembang....

Nak story lebih lebih pun idea tak mari, so tengok gambar je lah kan?

And by then, battery camera pun kaput , tak sempat rakam pengantin perempuan.
This was during the akad nikah, held on saturday afternoon where the bride & groom were solemnised.
Almost immediately after the saturday event, we (jani, ache, najwa, adil, pakcik & me) changed into something more convenient.
From then on, my handphone did the capturing....

The wedding ceremony was on sunday, we were already on our way home...

The 2nd link was jammed on sunday.
The supposedly 5 hrs journey became 6 1/2 hrs


As it was already late, we put up a night in kl and continued up north the next day. Since we had time, we detoured.....to Teluk Intan.

Hokkien Mee




Jom makan mee.

Hujan hujan ni, pekena mee panas panas memang best kan?

Hokkien Mee
(makcikkantin's version)

Bahan tumis:

10 bawang putih - mesin
10 bawang merah - mesin
2-3 sudu besar cili mesin

1/2 cawan bawang goreng

Bahan sampingan:

Udang - direbus; kepala/kulit dimesin & tapis ambil airnya, isi utk letak atas mee
1 ketam potong 2 (optional)
Tulang lembu (optional)
Garam, gula secukup rasa.
Mee kuning & sedikit bihun - celur & toskan
Kangkung - celur
Taugeh
Telur rebus
Fishcake - celur & potong.

Note: masa buat ni makcik tak letak ketam & tulang lembu & guna mee saja.

Kuahnya:
  • Panaskan minyak & tumis bawang putih/bawang merah/cili.
  • Bila dah wangi, masukkan bawang goreng, kacau.
  • Masukkan air udang, ketam & tulang
  • Tambahkan air, agak agak 2.5 liter
  • Biar mendidih lebih kurang 30 minit, kecilkan api dan didihkan lagi lebih kurang 1 jam.
  • Sekatakan masin manis kuahnya ikut selera.

Nak makannya:
  1. Letak mee & bihun dlm mangkuk.
  2. Letak kangkung, taugeh, telur rebus, fishcake, bwg goreng.
  3. Siram kuah sesuka hati
  4. Nikmatilah.

26 years strong....& growing stronger


Happy 26th anniversary to us!

Masih ku ingat kejadian lebih kurang 10 tahun lalu.........


mc: hello.....oh thank you very much

pc: awat? pasai apa? untuk apa?

mc: oh for the bouquet lah.....

pc: oh oh oh ok. 

from the conversation i realised pc tak ingat sebenarnya, his secretary yang buat kerja tu....so lepas tu, mc bagitau michelle, "...don't buy flowers anymore ya.....they're expensive & don't last long...."

Ha ha ha, tu lah cerita.....pakcik ni dia ingat makcik je, date selalu lupa.....tapi pagi ni, dia message "....happy anniversary...."  ermmmm secretary peringat lagi ke? (tak baik makcik bersangka camtu kan?)

Teringat pulak nak letak gambar zaman dulu kat sini, cari cari entah mana pulak...kena lebih gigih kemas rumah, entah entah ada kot di sebalik semak samun....

Apa apa pun, macam semua orang lain, makcik berdoa agar kehidupan makcik sekeluarga di berkati Allah di dunia & akhirat.....amin.

Stock Clearance

Take note: Ini bukan SALE tau.

Sebelum tu nak ucap pada semua, Selamat menyambut Maal Hijrah, semoga kita menjadi lebih baik dari sebelumnya, .....Pada yang sempat berdoa akhir & awal tahun, alhamdulillah, pada yang tak sempat, moga dapat berbuat demikian tahun depan, insyallah....


Bila hujung tahun saja terutama December, rata rata tempat ada stock clearance, kan. 

Bila supermarket nak clear stock, dia buat sale.....

Bila rumah nak clear stock?? Hmmmm ni yang nak mintak tolong kawan kawan bagi cadangan.......

Tu tak termasuk bag tangan, lagi banyak poket, lagi susah nak cari barang, lagi banyak sampah kat dalam tu.......haiissssh (ni perkataan kegemaran kawan baik yang kini sedang bercoti kat negara negara yang cuacanya sama macam peti ais kat rumah kita) 

Ermmmm adakah ini bermakna makcik juga sebahagian dari stock clearance....memandangkan makcik telah dinikahkan pada bulan Dec?

Why & Jom

While taking a morning 'walk' just now, i stumbled upon few things but these two seemed to be stuck in my mind;

  No posting. Where are you? Why? I love reading his story. Sure to learn something from there. I always make sure i have my nescafe with me before i go to his  pondok(ceritanya panjang tapi best).

     Yet to get approval from tuan punya tapi suka sangat. Before i loose her (sometimes when i   bookmarked, i forgot which is what, banyak sangat-penuh bookmark).
Been discussing with pakcik about getting started (again! after long pause) & this one just     give the motivation.  Love the video. Jom sama2 kita buat.


Before i called it a day, saja nak cerita sikit. Semalam together with pakcik & son 2, we went out cos pakcik fancy this particular porridge......
Dah tukar management, no problem about that. We clearly ordered porridge for ONE person and yg ambik order tu kata, "......with one ketam ye...." & we agreed.
Mana tau bila dah sampai; 
  1. porridge tu semangkuk bak macam mangkuk tambah!
  2. ketam memang lah sekor tapi tak fresh
  3. harga dia...mak oihhhh boleh pitam! Lihatlah & lu pikir lah sendiri


Pakcik, lepas ni kita buat Crab or seafood porridge kat rumah lah...nak rasa ambience cam restoren, kita bawak mangkuk kita pi situ...kita ode minum je, ada brani?

Daging Masak Hitam




Or some called it daging masak mamak.

Buat ni pagi tadi bagi memenuhi tuntutan catering

Daging Masak Hitam.

Bahan:
1 kg daging - potong ikut suka 
2 sudu besar serbuk cili
1 sudu teh serbuk jintan putih
Daun kari
3/4 cawan (C) kicap pekat
1/4 C (1 tin paling kecil) tomato puri
1 C bawang goreng - tumbuk halus
1/2 paket prune - blend (optional)
1/2 cawan kismis - blend (optional)
Garam
Minyak masak

Bahan tumis:
Kayu manis / bunga lawang/ buah pelaga / bunga cengkih
Daun pandan - simpul
2 btg serai - titik

Bahan untuk blend:
1" halia
10 ulas bawang putih
2 labu bawang besar

Cara:

Panaskan minyak, masukkan bahan tumis. 
Campurkan bahan blend, serbuk cili & jintan. Tumis hingga wangi.
Masukkan daging serta sedikit air.
Rebus hingga separuh lembut (air pun dah kurang)
Masukkan kicap pekat,  tomato puri, kismis/prune.
Jika tak guna kismis/prune, boleh letakkan gula serta cuka/air asam jawa.
Rebus lagi hingga daging empuk. 
Masukkan bawang goreng dan renihkan hingga kuah pekat.
Letak daun kari (ini akan mewangikan lagi masakan).
Tambah garam sesedap rasa.
Siap

Note: Kalau kurang hitam, boleh tambahkan lagi kicap pekat.

Passport Holder project



Passport holder - all taken up

Sejak dua tiga minggu ni........internet macam kura kura or macam chips more; sat ada sat hilang...hilang mood di buatnya.

Hari ni makcik tunjuk passport holder yang dah di siapkan ye. 

Yang order berkehendakkan tiga saja, I made 7 so ada 4 extralah. Tup tup bila siap, she wanted 4, another friend bought 2 and my sister took 1. 

So? makcik hanya boleh tunjuk gambar with no physical sample. Tak apalah next year makcik buat lain...sekarang nak habiskan project lain pulak.

Bon Voyage......

to Noraini & twins who is now on flight to the other side of the world.

.....and i definitely miss that "hello.....u free aaa....??..." call. 

We meet up almost everyday; for breakfast/grocery shopping/window shopping/hobby indulging/gossiping/......and i sometimes 'babysit' the twins..(sigh sigh) :-((

But before leaving, she passed over  loads of stuff, my larder is overflowing now.... and my freezer is also packed!

We had a farewell lunch for her the other day & i hope there will be another lunch....a welcome back lunch.
