Salam Merdeka-2012

Selamat menyambut hari kemerdekaan yang ke 55 tahun kepada semua rakyat Malaysia.

Alhamdulillah.

Bersyukurlah kita dapat hidup di negara berbilang kaum dengan aman & makmur.

Nak tahu serba banyak sedikit berkenaan merdeka; pre and post of FIRST merdeka celebration?

Makcik recommend you all baca link yang makcik sertakan. A Malaysian (now no more) yang dah berpuluh tahun bermastautin di luar negara tapi memory masih sharp & young at heart.

  1. Hello Makcik, terima kaseh seribu for the warm thoughts and kind mention.
I may be a Canadian, have been past 25 years, but somewhere dalam hati saya adalah my many beautiful memories of Malaya, and Malaysia.

And yes, I was there, took part in Malaya's 1st student's mass drill at the opening of Merdeka Stadium, Aug 30th, 1957.
And following day was at the stadium to witness Malaya's day of Independence. Hearing for the very first time, 'Negara Ku'.

I take this opportunity, from Canada, to wish you, your family and all Malaysians, 'Selamat hari Merdeka'.
    MERDEKA!
    Lee.

  3. Hi McKantin, Selamat Hari Merdeka and happy weekend.

I was born much later, so not much knowledge on our Merdeka history. I learned a lots of the Merdeka history from Uncle Lee's blog too. Especially the video, my first time tengok. Was not aware it's still existing after 55th years. :)

Salam dari Amelia. Have a nice day.
