Char koay teow

Hmmm yesterday lunch makan koay teow thng.

Thng disini bermaksud sup ya, bukan nya kependekan bagi perkataan "terhangat" hahaha....sapa paham sila la kita senyum secara jemaah :))....gelak kuat satgi dia merajuk pulak.

Malamnya pakcik buat char koay teow.....mmg best koay teow pakcik....

Koay teow, taugeh, udang, cili paste, kicap pekat, kicap cair, sos ikan, bawang putih tumbuk, telur, kucai

Tumis bawang putih, masukkan cili paste n udang.
Masukkan koay teow, kucai n taugeh.
Add kicap cair, kicap pekat n sikit saja  sos ikan
Kacau sekata....'tolak' koay teow ke tepi(masih dalam kuali ya) add minyak sikit and pecahkan telur.
Scramblekan dia sikit then gaul sekali dgn koay teow tadi.

Siap!!!!!.

Pakcik , Char Koay teow  satu!

  2. Hello Makcik, wow! The right pronunciation too, "thng". Only people in Penang will use that word. And this happens to be one of my all time favourites. But preferably with si hum or cockles. And one egg and lots of tau gay.

Whenever I was in Penang, I never failed to have my kueh teow breakfast at that corner shop in McCalister Road.
Their black iced coffee sedap best too.
Or I go to Pulau Tikus (I think) or is it Ayer Hitam for that well known Indian mee rebus, a stall outside a kedai kopi.

Makcik, you sure the kind of lady, a wife many men dream of having. And your this kueh teaw dish looks absolutely delicious! Makcik, Saya punya pingan bursarrr sikit, ha ha ha.
So? Lepas ni nak pergi cycling?
    Have fun, Makcik.
Jangan lupa tu chili merah lipstick.

    1. Hi Lee , probably people in penang only do this kind of "thng"......can i refer to as sup bodoh? since you only have water and cubed stock in there, but cleverly garnished to 'up' its taste to yummy yummy.......and yes its simply sedap.

I learned eating koay teow thng, hokkien mee, koay kak, char hor fun when i was working in Intel back then, the canteen caterer was chinese and they are to serve ALL halal food. That's when i started sampling all these and fallen in love with. I started to try at home....may not be exact but almost there.....

Pakcik kept asking when uncle lee mau datang penang, and when you come, i kasi you makan.....pinggan busarrrr tak ada...besen mau? hahahhaha..

And yes i just came back from cycling...30 km today. Tapi naik basikal tak boleh pakai lipstick maaaa, nanti itu orang naik motor pun boleh jatuh :-D

      Have a good weekend. McK
